Regional council elections in Namibia 1998
The 1998 regional council elections in Namibia took place on November 30th and December 1st, 1998. It was the second regional council elections since Namibia's independence in 1990.
738,870 voters were on the electoral lists, with only 534,278 voters being able to actively register for the election, as only one candidate ran in 26 of the 102 constituencies and an election was therefore not necessary. The turnout was 40.01%, significantly lower than in the first regional council elections in 1992.
