Reims Métropole was a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the Marne department in the Grand Est region . It was founded on August 24, 2012 and comprised 16 parishes. The administrative seat was in the city of Reims .

Historical development

On January 1, 2017, the community association was established with the Communautés de communes Vallée de la Suippe , Rives de la Suippe , Zonen-Bourgogne , Nord Champenois , Fismes Ardre et Vesle , Champagne Vesle , Vesle et Coteaux de la Montagne de Reims and 18 communities ( Anthenay , Aougny , Bligny , Brouillet , Chambrecy , Chaumuzy , Cuisles , Jonquery , Lagery , Lhéry , Marfaux , Olizy , Poilly , Pourcy , Romigny , Sarcy , Tramery and Ville-en-Tardenois ) of the Communauté de communes Ardre et Châtillonnais to the new communauté urbaine du Grand Reims .

Infrastructure
