Prunay is a French commune with 1,032 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Reims and the canton of Reims-8 (until 2015 bein-Nauroy ).

Prunay is about ten kilometers east-southeast of the city center of Reims . Prunay is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities Nogent-l'Abbesse in the north, bein-Nauroy in the north and northeast, Val-de-Vesle in the east and southeast, Beaumont-sur-Vesle in the south, Verzenay in the south and southwest, Sillery in the west and Southwest and Puisieulx in the west.

In the municipality there is a stop on the Châlons-en-Champagne-Reims railway line and the Reims-Prunay airfield.
