Trigny is a French commune with 543 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Reims and the canton of Fismes-Montagne de Reims (until 2015 the canton of Fismes ). The inhabitants are called Trignaçiens .
geography
Trigny is located about twelve kilometers west-northwest of the city center of Reims on the Vesle , which borders the municipality in the south. Trigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hermonville in the north, Chenay in the east and northeast, Châlons-sur-Vesle in the east and southeast, Muizon in the south, Prouilly in the west and Pévy in the northwest.
