Lavannes is about nine kilometers west-northwest of Reims . Lavannes is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Pomacle in the north and north-west, Isles-sur-Suippe in the north and north-east, Warmeriville in the north-east, Heutrégiville and Saint-Masmes in the east, Époye in the south and south-east, Berru in the south-west and Caurel in the west.
