Saint-Brice-Courcelles belongs to the arrondissement of Reims and is part of the canton of Reims-5 . The inhabitants of the municipality are called Bricocorcéliens .
Geographical location
Saint-Brice-Courcelles is located in the center of Champagne as a banlieue on the north-western edge of Reims . The western border of the municipality is formed by the Vesle river and the eastern border by the Canal de l'Aisne à la Marne . Saint-Brice-Courcelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Thierry in the north, Reims in the east, Tinqueux in the south, Champigny in the west and Merfy in the north-west.
Autoroute A4 and Autoroute A26 run through the municipality .

During the revolutionary years (1790-1794) the community was named both Liberté-sur-Vesle and Montriqueux .
