Chenay is a French commune with 227 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Reims and the canton of Fismes-Montagne de Reims (until 2015 the canton of Fismes ). The inhabitants are called Chenaisiens .
geography
Chenay is about 13 kilometers west-northwest of Reims city center . Chenay is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Hermonville in the north, Pouillon in the northeast, Merfy in the east and southeast, Châlons-sur-Vesle in the south and Trigny in the west.
