It belongs to the Arrondissement of Reims and the canton of Dormans-Paysages de Champagne (until 2015 Châtillon-sur-Marne ). The inhabitants are called Reuillats .

Reuil is located about 27 kilometers southwest of Reims on the Marne , which borders the municipality in the south. Neighboring municipalities of Reuil are Villers-sous-Châtillon in the north and north-east, Venteuil in the east, Boursault in the south and south-east, Œuilly in the south and south-west and Binson-et-Orquigny in the west.
