Verzenay is a French commune with 1052 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Reims and the canton of Mourmelon-Vesle et Monts de Champagne (until 2015: Canton Verzy ). The inhabitants are called bouquins .

geography

Verzenay is about 14 kilometers south-east of Reims on the Marne-Rhine Canal . Verzenay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sillery in the north, Prunay in the northeast, Beaumont-sur-Vesle in the east and northeast, Verzy in the east and northeast, Val de Livre in the south and Mailly-Champagne in the west and southwest.
