The town hall and church of Ormes

Ormes is a French commune in the northeast of the country with 436 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It is located in the Marne department in the Grand Est region . Saint-Brice-Courcelles belongs to the Reims arrondissement and is part of the canton of Fismes-Montagne de Reims (until 2015: canton of Reims-1 ). The inhabitants are called the Ormois .

Geographical location

Ormes is located in the center of Champagne as a banlieue about five kilometers west-southwest of Reims . Ormes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Thillois in the north, Tinqueux in the east, Les Mesneux in the south, Pargny-lès-Reims and Coulommes-la-Montagne in the southwest and Vrigny in the west.

The A26 autoroute crosses the municipality.
