René Back (born September 8, 1982 in Kemmental TG ) is a Swiss ice hockey defender who has been under contract with EHC Kloten in the National League A since 2014 .
Career
René Back began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the EHC Kreuzlingen . From there he moved to HC Davos , for whose U20 juniors he was used for the first time in the 1998/99 season. After a season with the U20 juniors of the EHC Chur , the defender returned to Davos and made his debut for the professional team of HC Davos in the National League A in the 2000/01 season . He gave two assists in 40 games. In parallel, he ran twice for the SC Herisau in the National League B on. However, he ended the season at EHC Chur, with whom he competed in the relegation for relegation.
After baking the entire 2001-02 season spent in Chur, he played two years for the ZSC Lions in the NLA and their farm team , the GCK Lions , in the NLB before he start of the 2004/05 season from EV train bound where he stayed for a total of five years. From the 2009/10 season , the former junior national player was again on the ice for Davos in the NLA, before he moved to EHC Kloten for three years in the 2014/15 season.
International
For Switzerland , Back took part in the U18 Junior World Championship 2000 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2002 . He also took part in the 2010 ice hockey world championship with the senior national team.
