Renato Olmi (born July 12, 1914 in Trezzo sull'Adda ( MI ), † May 15, 1985 in Crema ) was an Italian football player .

Career

In the club

The midfielder Renato Olmi began his career in his home region of Lombardy , in the US Cremonese in the series B . After a stopover at Brescia Calcio , he moved to Inter Milan in 1937 in Serie A , which at that time was called Ambrosiana-Inter . There he played, with the exception of 1941/42 , when he played for Juventus Turin , until 1943. After the cessation of Serie A game operations because of the Second World War , Olmi went back to Cremonese, where he played until 1946. He ended his career in 1947 with a small club in Cremona .

In the national team

Although he had never been nominated for the national team before, Renato Olmi was appointed by national coach Vittorio Pozzo in the Italian squad for the 1938 World Cup in France . He was also not used at the World Cup, but was still world champion with Italy . Olmi made his three international matches in 1940.
