Rike Eckermann (born July 21, 1964 in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg ) is a German actress and director .

Life

Eckermann, the daughter of director and actor Martin Eckermann (1930–2005), studied acting from 1984 to 1988 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

In her engagements as an actress at the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater Zittau , Theater Stralsund , Theater Gera, Thalia Theater Halle, Theater der Stadt Bremen, Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam and at the Volksbühne Berlin , she worked with the directors Andreas Kriegenburg , Reinhardt Hellmann, Horst Lebinsky, Maik Hamburger , Annette Klare, Burkhart Seidemann, Peter Staatsmann , Christina Emig-Könning, Uwe Schmieder, Sebastian Klink and Martin Eckermann together. One of her most beautiful roles was Pippi Longstocking , directed by Peter Lange, which she played 750 times in Berlin and Halle.

From 1993 Eckermann worked as an actress and director at the Hackeschen Hof-Theater Berlin , the former pantomime ensemble of the German Theater, until it closed in 2006, with interruptions from working in film and television . Here she played, for example, Carol in Orleanna under the direction of her father Martin Eckermann, and Marie in Marie Woyzeck and directed Die Insel by Athol Fugard , Drops on Hot Stones by Rainer Werner Fassbinder , Die Räuber and Don Carlos by Friedrich Schiller .

In 2005, Eckermann completed an internship in film directing with Bernd Böhlich while filming the Polizeiruf-110 episode Dettmanns wide world .
