Rotten Apple ( English for: " rotten apple ") is the second solo album by the US rapper Lloyd Banks . It was released on October 10, 2006 on the G-Unit Records and Interscope labels .

Lloyd Banks' label bosses 50 Cent and Sha Money XL acted as executive producers on the album . The rapper and music producer Eminem produced two songs on the album in collaboration with Luis Resto . Ron Browz also created two instrumentals. Other beats come from Havoc , 9th Wonder , Young RJ , 10 for the Triad, Midi Mafia, Chris Styles, Daniel Jones, Jermaine Mobley, Major Music Productions, Needlz, Nick Speed, Prince, Machavelli, Dave Morris and Younglord.

Cover design

The album cover shows Lloyd Banks, peering out of a window in the glass, the skyline of New York City reflects. A blue-lit room can be seen in the background. On the right of the picture there is the lettering Lloyd Banks and Rotten Apple in blue and white respectively.

Guest Posts

Besides Lloyd Banks, other artists are represented on nine songs on the album. His label boss 50 Cent is involved in the songs Hands Up , The Cake and Rotten Apple , the latter also featuring rapper Prodigy . The track Iceman is a collaboration with G-Unit member Young Buck and rappers 8Ball and Scarface . At Help the singer has Keri Hilson a guest appearance and You Know the Deal of the rapper enters Rakim in appearance. Lloyd Banks also works with singer Musiq Soulchild on Addicted , while G-Unit member Tony Yayo supports him on NY NY . Furthermore, the hip-hop duo Mobb Deep made a guest contribution to the song Get Clapped .

Rotten Apple entered the German album charts at number 51 on October 20, 2006 and was ranked 86 the following week before leaving the top 100. In the United States, the album reached position 3 and stayed in the top 200 for a total of eight weeks. In the United Kingdom, Rotten Apple was ranked 40th and in Switzerland ranked 36th.

As singles , the songs were The Cake , Hands Up and Help decoupled.
