Rudolf Hermann Kroseck , von Kroseck since 1871 (born September 4, 1827 in Kamien, Schlochau district , † December 11, 1894 in Wiesbaden ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and commander of the 2nd division .

Rudolf was the son of the Prussian captain a. D. and tax clerk Ernst Georg Kroseck (1782-1835) and his wife Jeanette, née Taube († 1867).

Military career

Kroseck visited the cadet houses in Kulm and Berlin . He then joined the 25th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army on May 27, 1845 as a portepeef ensign, and in mid-October 1846 was promoted to secondary lieutenant . From March 1851 he was in command of the 8th Combined Reserve Battalion for one year.
