Ruppertskirchen - popularly known as "Schupfaloach" - is a hamlet and part of the Altomünster market in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau . It belongs to the Oberzeitlbach district .

Ruppertskirchen lies at an altitude of about 480  m above sea level. NN , consists of nine residential buildings and currently has about 20 residents.

history

Ruppertskirchen is mentioned for the first time in 815 as "in loco Hrodperhtes ecclesia" , which translates as "in the place of the Ruodprechtskirche". The name "Rupert" or "Ruprecht" probably goes back to the founder of the church of St. John the Baptist , which existed until 1803 .

During the Thirty Years War the entire settlement was burned down except for the church mentioned. The place was not settled again until 1807.

Ruppertskirchen has always belonged to the independent municipality of Oberzeitlbach in the Upper Bavarian district of Aichach . On July 1, 1972, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, Oberzeitlbach and its districts came to the also Upper Bavarian district of Dachau. On January 1, 1976 Oberzeitlbach was incorporated into the Altomünster market.
