The Ruta 39 is a national road in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Routing

The 230-kilometer-long Ruta 39 runs from southwest to northeast in the center of the Santa Cruz Department and leads from the north-south main route Ruta 9 towards the Brazilian border in the east.

The Ruta 39 begins twenty kilometers east of the Río Grande near the village of Cuatro Cañadas and then runs in an easterly direction through agriculturally developed colonization area to the middle reaches of the Río Itonomas , which is called "Río San Julián" or "Río San Pedro". The road crosses the river near the town of Salinas and then leads first in a south-easterly, later in a north-easterly direction through sparsely populated hill country via San Juan de Lomerío to San Miguel .

The entire route of the Ruta 39 is a paved gravel route and is not paved.

history

With Ley 3210 of September 30, 2005, the road was declared part of the Bolivian national road network " Red Vial Fundamental ".
