The Ruta 41 is a national road in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Routing
The road is only 29 kilometers long and lies on the southern edge of the Bolivian Cordillera Real in the La Paz department . It establishes the connection between Route 2 on the Altiplano and Route 3 , which leads from La Paz into the Bolivian Yungas . The road bypasses the center of La Paz and leads from the El Alto suburb Alto Lima (4100 m) on a direct route to the high mountain pass La Cumbre (4700 m).
The road is still in planning and has not yet been expanded; it currently ( 2012 ) consists of an unpaved gravel road.

The Ruta 41 was declared part of the Bolivian national road network " Red Vial Fundamental " by law 3439 of July 17th, 2006 .
