ATV Liegnitz - Southeast German Champion 1912

The Southeast German Football Championship 1911/12 was the sixth staging of the Southeast German Football Championship of the Southeast German Football Association (SOFV). ATV Liegnitz won the championship for the first time with a 5-1 win in the final against SC Germania Breslau . By winning the association championship, the Liegnitzer qualified for the German football championship 1911/12 , in which the club failed in the quarter-finals at SpVgg 1899 Leipzig-Lindenau with 2: 3.

mode

The soccer championship was played again this year in six regional 1st district classes, the winners of which qualified for the finals. The Niederlausitzer football championship was canceled due to a deadline, so that no champions were determined.

The Niederlausitzer Championship was canceled due to a deadline at the following table, which meant that no master was determined who participated in the Southeast German Championship.

Gau Schweidnitz

During this season the Gau Schweidnitz was introduced. The winner was the Schweidnitzer FV 1911 ahead of the Waldenburger SV 09 . It is not known whether a championship game took place between the winner of Gaus Liegnitz and the winner of Gaus Schweidnitz.

This season the first attempt was made to introduce an upper, league class , called league.

Relegation matches

The winners of the three second-rate district classes Kattowitz, Beuthen and Gleiwitz played the representatives to the relegation games. Here the SC 08 Könighütte prevailed against the FC Hohenzollern Laurahütte and the RV 1909 Gleiwitz .

The decision game for the Oberlausitz football championship has been handed down from the Upper Lusatia district . It is currently not clear whether there were group games before.

The final round of the southeast German soccer championship was played again this season in the knockout system . The champions from 5 districts were qualified, the Niederlausitz district did not have any participants this year.
