Sōichirō Hoshi

Sōichirō Hoshi ( Japanese 保 志 総 一 朗 , Hoshi Sōichirō ; born May 30, 1972 in Aizuwakamatsu , Japan ) is a Japanese voice actor ( seiyū ). He belongs to the Arts Vision agency . He is best known for his roles as Kira Yamato in Gundam Seed and as Son Goku in Saiyuki .

In the Seiyū category of the Anime Grand Prix , a prize awarded annually by the Japanese anime magazine Animage , Hoshi was voted eight times in the top ten by readers and took first place three times. At the first Seiyū Awards he was nominated in two categories, but the award for best actor went to Jun Fukuyama , best supporting actor won Akira Ishida and Kōki Miyata .
