Sabit Osman Avcı

Sabit Osman Avcı (* 1921 in Artvin ; † February 8, 2009 in İstanbul ) was a Turkish politician.

Life

In 1939 Avcı graduated from high school and in 1944 the Faculty of Forestry at İstanbul Üniversitesi . He then worked as a graduate engineer in the General Directorate for Forestry . In 1953 Avcı was sent to the United States to do research. On his return he was appointed General Director of Forestry in Mersin .

Sabit Osman Avcı was a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for Artvin Province in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th legislative periods . In the 5th legislative period he was a member of the İstanbul Province . He was elected President of the Grand National Assembly on November 26, 1970.

Sabit Osman Avcı was Minister for Village Affairs, Forests, and Energy and Natural Resources.
