His political career began when he joined the youth organization Democrat Parti of Adnan Menderes . In 1958 he left the party to act as a founding member of the Hürriyet Partisi . After the National Unity Committee had put in a coup on May 27, 1960 and the members of the government were indicted in the Yassıada trials , Cindoruk represented a total of 18 former members of the Democratic Party as a lawyer. Among them was the former President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Refik Koraltan .

After political parties were allowed by the military again, Cindoruk participated in the Adalet Partisi , the Democracy Parti , the Büyük Türkiye Partisi and the Doğru Yol Partisi as a provincial party executive, founding member and in the central party administration committee. After the February 28 incidents in 1997 ( 28 Şubat süreci ), he left the Doğru Yol Partisi to found the Democrat Türkiye Partisi (DTP). The DTP participated in a coalition government under the leadership of Mesut Yılmaz , but Cindoruk did not participate.
