At his third Olympiad, the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , he was fourth again over 10,000 meters.

He had his greatest year in 1990 when he became European champion over 5000 and over 10,000 meters at the 1990 European Athletics Championships in Split . Antibo was known for his racing tactics, which were not appreciated by other long distance runners. It ran at very irregular intervals, sometimes increasing the pace, then slowing down again.
