Sary Koubou (also: Sari Koubou , Sarry Koubou ) is a district ( French : quartier ) in the Arrondissement Niamey IV of the city of Niamey in Niger .

geography

Sary Koubou is located on the eastern edge of the urban parish of Niamey. The green belt of Niamey connects to the west . Niamey Airport is located south of Sary Koubou . The neighboring districts are Niamey 2000 in the north and Talladjé Est in the southwest. The village of Deykouarey in the east and the hamlet of Fandora in the northeast already belong to the rural municipal area . Sary Koubou covers an area of ​​about 450 hectares . Like the entire northeast of Niamey, the city district is located in a plateau with a layer of sand less than 2.5 meters deep, which means that only limited infiltration is possible.

history

The district emerged at the beginning of the 21st century. In the period from 2000 to 2004, the city council of Niamey carried out parcelling here and in seven other peripheral areas and sold the land.

population

At the 2012 census, Sary Koubou had 20,347 residents who lived in 3,325 households.

Infrastructure

There is a health center in the district with a Center de Santé Intégré (CSI).
