Kouara Béri (Niamey)

Kouara Béri is a hamlet in the Niamey IV arrondissement of the city of Niamey in Niger .

The hamlet is located in the rural municipality of Niamey on a dry valley . The surrounding settlements include the hamlet of Maouri Windi in the north-west and the hamlet of Kongou Laba and the village of Kongou Gonga in the south-west.

The place name comes from the Songhai-Zarma language : kouara means "village" and béri "big". Kouara Béri therefore means "big village".

At the 2012 census, Kouara Béri had 520 inhabitants who lived in 59 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 121 in 19 households.
