Deykouarey

Deykouarey (also: Dey Kouarèye ) is a village in the Niamey IV arrondissement of the city of Niamey in Niger .

The village, run by a traditional chief (chef traditionnel) , is located in the rural municipality of Niamey. To the west of Deykouarey is the urban district of Sary Koubou . The surrounding rural settlements include the hamlet of Fandora in the northwest, the village of Saga Gorou II in the northeast and the hamlet of Bango Banda in the southeast. Like Bango Banda, Deykouarey is a shoreline of the six- hectare , nutrient-poor Lake Bangou Bi , which emerged in the 1960s.

At the 2012 census, Deykouarey had 351 inhabitants who lived in 43 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 535 in 83 households.
