Schaderthal is a district of Probstzella in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .
geography
The stream causes major problems during the snowmelt, hence the name. The federal road 85 leads past the village . The local area is 225.06 hectares.
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1440. First the place belonged to the county of Orlamünde- Lauenstein, then it came to the Benedictine Abbey of Saalfeld, subject to interest . Around 1860 the sources of income in the field of agriculture were arable farming, cattle breeding and fruit growing. The slate quarries and sawmills were industrial workplaces for the residents. Summer camps and tourism were added later. The construction of the railway line brought an intensification of the work in the area.
