The Schwertzell castle seat is an abandoned castle seat in the center of Schrecksbach in the Schwalm-Eder district in Hesse . It was located on the site of today's community center, which still contains parts of the remains of the wall.
In 1750, the Schwertzell castle seat consisted of 267 Kassel fields , around 160 fields of meadows, 15 fields of gardens and 468 fields of forest; In 1885 the manor district comprised 221 hectares, of which 71 hectares were arable land, 37 hectares were meadows and 11 hectares were forest.
