Sebastian Jacob (born June 26, 1993 in Saarbrücken ) is a German football player . The striker is under contract with 1. FC Saarbrücken .

Career

Jacob began his career at JFG Saarlouis and then played for the youth teams of 1. FC Saarbrücken before moving to 1. FC Kaiserslautern after completing his training in 2012 . There he was initially only used for the second team and made his debut on August 10, 2012 for this in a 1-1 draw against Wormatia Worms in the Regionalliga Südwest . On 13 October 2012, he scored in a 2: 2 against the second team of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim his first goal.

The attacker scored 17 goals this season again in 2019/20 when the season was canceled prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of May 2020, so he was behind André Becker (20 hits) in the scorer list. After applying the quotient rule, Saarbrücken was declared champion and reported as the first promoted to the 3rd division. Jacob and FCS were also the first fourth division team to make their way to the DFB Cup semi-finals, which were lost 3-0 to Bayer 04 Leverkusen .
