Seiz is a village in the Upper Styria and location of the market town of chambers in Liesingtal in Leoben District of Styria .

geography

The place is located about 12 kilometers west of Leoben and is 2½ km east of the community capital Kammern. It is located in the Liesingtal on the left bank north, not far from the Liesing , at about 670  m above sea level. A. at the foot of the Reitererkogel  ( 953  m above sea level ), the western summit of the Veitscherwald . To the south the B113 passes  Schoberpass Straße . The Seizerbach flows through the village from the Kaisertal of the Reiting massif to the Liesing.

Seiz comprises almost 90 buildings with around 280 residents. The Veitscher settlement to the north also belongs to the local area .

Infrastructure and buildings

The place can be reached via the B 113, the junction of the Pyhrn Autobahn A 9 is Kammern . In the village, the L116 Edlingerstraße branches off  to Edling - St. Peter-Freienstein .

The Seiz station of the Rudolfsbahn (km 194.403) was closed by the ÖBB; next stop is also chambers . In the village there is the Seiz Rüsthaus bus stop for the Postbus from Leoben to Kammern.
