The transmitter Heringsdorf is a transmitter of the German radio tower for VHF broadcasting in Heringsdorf on Usedom .

The location previously served as a medium-wave small transmitter and broadcast the program Radio DDR I or the holiday wave on the frequency 1584 kHz with an output of 1 kW. After the fall of the Wall, the mast was torn down and a new free-standing tubular mast was erected at the same location.

Digital television (DVB-T2)

On November 8, 2017, regular operation of DVB-T2 HD began at the Heringsdorf transmitter. Only the public service programs are broadcast. The DVB-T2 HD broadcast is carried out using the HEVC video coding process and in Full HD resolution. It operates in single frequency network with other locations.
