Senior Prom was a secret Black Project of the United States Air Force in collaboration with Skunk Works . The aim of the project was the development and testing of a cruise missile with stealth technology . Based on the Lockheed Have Blue stealth experimental aircraft, the six Senior Prom guided missiles successfully completed testing in Area 51 in the late 1970s . However, the cruise missile was not put into service, among other things because it was not compatible with a bomb bay due to its size and configuration . Instead of competing design was AGM-129 ACM of General Dynamics put into service.
