Sergey Osovic

Sergey Osovic ( Ukrainian Сергій Осович , Serhij Ossowytsch, English transcription Serhiy Osovych ; born December 16, 1973 in Ivano-Frankivsk ) is an Austrian sprinter of Ukrainian origin.

At the 1996 Olympic Games , he reached the quarter-finals over 100 meters and came in fourth with the Ukrainian 4 x 100 meter relay .

Over 200 meters he was fourth at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1994 and won gold at the 1998 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Valencia. At the World Athletics Championships he reached the quarter-finals over the same distance in Gothenburg in 1995 and Seville in 1999 and the semi-finals in Athens in 1997 .

In 2003 he became an Austrian citizen and in 2005 Austrian champion over 100 meters.

Sergey Osovic is 1.80 m tall and weighs 78 kg. He works as a trainer at LCC Vienna .
