course

The Setzebach, which runs entirely in the Frau-Holle-Land Geo-Nature Park (Werratal , Meissner, Kaufunger Wald) rises in the Söhre . Its source lies around 650 m north-northeast of the Großer Belgerkopf ( 499.9  m above sea  level ) and around 900 m west-northwest of the Michelskopf (approx.  485  m ), on which the two Michelskopf lakes extend. It is located near a forest path at an altitude of around 406  m .

The predominantly north-west aspiring Set stream initially flows through the pin forest Kaufungen and then runs below the inn Waldschänke Forellengrund , where a fitness trail , a Wassertretstelle and a parking are, by the Set Bachgrund . There the Ahlgraben flows from the south .

At the exit of the Setzebachgrund , the Setzebach will in future be bridged by the federal motorway 44 in the section between the newly emerging Kassel- East motorway triangle (on the federal motorway 7 ) and the planned junction Helsa- East, which is currently in planning approval . Then the brook crosses the federal highway 7 .

About 500 meters north of there along the western edge of passes under Niederkaufungen flowing Set Bach until the railway line Kassel-Waldkappel (Losse Valley Railway) and then in the section Niederkaufungen- paper mill , the county road  5, something to the northwest thereof to about 178  m altitude in the eastern Fulda - Inflow Losse to open .

Catchment area and tributaries
