history
Seville was originally founded in 1872 on the site of today's Bentig in Barangay Calinginan Sur. However, during the Philippine-American War , the Americans burned the city on November 3, 1901. It was then rebuilt on the other side of the Loboc River in Maraag, in what is now Barangay Poblacion.
