Shiloh is a city in St. Clair County in the west of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois . In 2000 Shiloh had 7,643 residents.

The city is part of the region called Metro-East , which includes the eastern part of the Illinois metropolitan area around St. Louis in Missouri .

In the 2000 census, the population was 7,643. These were distributed over 2,778 households in 2,080 families. The population density was 295.6 / km². There were 2,920 residential buildings, which corresponded to a building density of 112.9 / km².
