The 2011/12 season was the 21st season of the Slovenian Ice Hockey League , the highest Slovenian ice hockey league .

Participant field and mode

The following teams took part in the championship after the Slohokej League ended . HK Jesenice and HDD Olimpija Ljubljana joined after the main round from the Austrian ice hockey league and were firmly qualified for the playoffs.

A basic round was played with a simple first round. Play-offs with semi-finals and finals followed, as well as a game for third place.
