Solaseed Air Inc. ( Japanese 株式会社 ソ ラ シ ド エ ア Kabushiki-gaisha Sorashido Ea ) is a Japanese low-cost airline based in Miyazaki and based at Tokyo Haneda Airport .
history
Solaseed Air was founded on July 3, 1997 as Skynet Asia Airways Co., Ltd. founded. The company has been operating under the Solaseed Air brand since 2011, but only officially renamed the company name to Solaseed Air Inc. in December 2015 . The word Solaseed is made up of the Japanese word “Sola” (Japanese 空 sora , German sky ) and the English word “Seed” (German to sow ). The name is thus an allusion to the advertising slogan “Seed Smiles in the Sky” and the airline's logo. It is 8.56% owned by ANA Holdings , the parent company of All Nippon Airways .
