Air Next ( Japanese エ ア ー ネ ク ス ト 株式会社 , Eā Nekusuto Kabushiki kaisha ) was a Japanese low-cost airline based in Tokyo . It was a full subsidiary of All Nippon Airways and used Fukuoka Airport as its main airport and only flew to national destinations.

history

Air Next was founded in August 2004 and began flight operations on June 1, 2005 with two Boeing 737-500s .

The paintwork of the Air Next differed from that of the ANA only in a small additional title ("Air Next") and a dolphin on the engine. At first Air Next and All Nippon Airways had different IATA codes, but later the airline no longer used its own IATA airline code "7A", but that of All Nippon Airways ("NH"). As a subsidiary of All Nippon Airways, Air Next was a full Star Alliance member.

In June 2010 Air Next was dissolved and merged with two other ANA regional companies, Air Central and Air Nippon Network , to form the new ANA Wings .
