JALways KK was a Japanese airline based in Tokyo and based at Tokyo Narita Airport . It was a subsidiary of Japan Airlines , JAL for short , and was integrated into this in 2010.
history
The airline was founded in 1990 under the name Japan Air Charter as a charter airline . Flight operations began in July 1991 with McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and Boeing 747-200 . On the 1st of the same year the company was given its current name and became an international scheduled airline .
Since March 2001 it has belonged entirely to JAL. In October 2005, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10 were decommissioned.
The majority of the cockpit crews were citizens of the USA and were stationed in Honolulu , Hawaii , while the cabin crews were mostly of Asian origin and were stationed in Bangkok . JALways operated independently from its parent company, but cooperated closely with it on services and flights.
On December 1, 2010, JALways was dissolved and fully integrated into the parent company Japan Airlines .
Destinations
JALways offered over 200 scheduled flights from Japan to destinations in Asia , Oceania and the USA every week . For example, Delhi , Bangkok , Honolulu and Sydney were approached .
