Soualiho Meïté (born March 17, 1994 in Paris ) is a French - Ivorian football player . The midfielder has been under contract with FC Turin since summer 2018 and is a former French junior international.

Career

Meïté started playing football for the amateur club Gobelins FC in 2002. In 2006 he went to CO Vincennes and spent a year in the youth department of AJ Auxerre . After 24 appearances at AJ Auxerre, he moved in January 2013 to league rivals OSC Lille , which, however, immediately awarded him back to Auxerre. After half a year he returned to Lille. On February 1, 2016, Meïté was awarded to SV Zulte Waregem in Belgium . The Belgians also secured a purchase option for the midfielder . In a year and a half at the Jupiler Pro League club, he played in 58 league games in which he scored two goals. With the team he won the Coupe de Belgique in 2017 . SV Zulte Waregem used the purchase option for the 2017/18 season and immediately sold it to AS Monaco. After he could not prevail at the Monegasque, Meïté was awarded to Girondins Bordeaux in January , for which he was used in all 19 league games in the second half of the season.

On July 10, 2018, Meïté moved to the Italian Serie A for Turin FC . On August 26, 2018, on the 2nd matchday of the 2018/19 season in a 2-2 draw against Inter Milan , he scored his first goal for Turin.
