Lorenzo De Silvestri (born May 23, 1988 in Rome ) is an Italian football player . He works in defense and midfield on the right.
Career
In the club
He made his Serie A debut on April 22, 2007 in the match between Lazio Rom and Fiorentina , which ended 0-1. He played his first game from the start in the following week against FC Parma . These were the only two appearances in the 2006/07 season . From the 2007/08 season De Silvestri was used by coach Delio Rossi from the start and celebrated his first official goal in Italy on December 19, 2007 in the Coppa Italia against SSC Napoli . In 2007 Lorenzo De Silvestri signed a contract with Lazio Rome. In August 2009 De Silvestri moved to Fiorentina.
From 2012 to 2016 De Silvestri played for Sampdoria Genoa , where he completed over 100 games in Serie A.
De Silvestri moved to Turin in summer 2016 .
In the national team
Lorenzo De Silvestri went through the Italian junior national teams since the U-16s . From 2007 he played in the U-21 national team , with which he won the 2008 Toulon tournament. A short time later, De Silvestri took part with the Italian Olympic selection under coach Pierluigi Casiraghi at the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing , where he and his team failed in the quarter-finals against Belgium .
On September 7, 2010, he made his debut under head coach Cesare Prandelli in the Squadra Azzurra , when he was in the game against the Faroe Islands in the starting lineup. The game ended in a 5-0 win for Italy. After a long hiatus, De Suilvestri started playing sporadically from 2013. He played his sixth and so far last international match against Germany in March 2016 . He was last nominated for a training camp in May 2016, and has not been considered since then.

Lorenzo De Silvestri attended the German School in Rome up to his tenth school year, i.e. up to the age of 16 , and therefore has a good command of German .
