Iago Falque Silva (born January 4, 1990 in Vigo ) is a Spanish football player . He is a midfielder and prefers to play on the left.
Career
In the club
FC Barcelona
Falque comes from the youth academy of FC Barcelona , for whom he played for seven years. In the summer of 2008, some top European clubs, including Manchester United and Ajax Amsterdam , were interested in signing the Spaniard, who had expressly asked FC Barcelona for a move, as he was neither part of the A nor the B team there.
Juventus Turin and loan stations
In August, Falque finally decided on a free transfer to the Italian record champions Juventus Turin , where he received a contract until 2012 and played in their youth team Primavera in 2008/09 . In 2009 Falque won the prestigious Coppa Carnevale in Viareggio with the Primavera .
In the summer of 2009 he was awarded for one year to the Serie A promoted AS Bari . After he was not used in the first series of the 2009/10 season , he returned to Turin early in January 2010 and won a short time later with the Primavera for the second time at Torneo di Viareggio .
For the 2010/11 season he was at Villarreal B borrowed. Falque made his debut in the Segunda División on August 27, 2010 , when he played against Real Valladolid . On the third matchday he scored his first goal against SD Ponferradina .
Tottenham Hotspur and rental locations
Falque was loaned to Tottenham Hotspur for the 2011/12 season. During the 2012 winter break, Falque was signed by Tottenham and loaned to Southampton FC until the end of the season. On January 23, 2013 Falque was awarded to the Spanish second division UD Almería until the end of the season. On August 24, 2013 it was awarded to Rayo Vallecano .
Back in Serie A.
For the 2014/15 season , Falque returned to Serie A and joined the CFC Genoa . For the 2015/16 season , Falque initially moved to AS Roma on loan , with the fixed purchase option being drawn a short time later.
For the 2016/17 season , Falque initially moved to Turin on loan . After 15 league appearances in which he scored five goals, FC Turin withdrew the purchase option in early January 2017 and tied Falque firmly to the club.
In the national team
Falque was active in the Spanish U-17 and U-19 selections, so he was U-17 European Champion and Vice World Champion in 2007 .
On December 16, 2008, he made his debut for the FIFA and UEFA unrecognized Galician football team in a 3-2 win against Iran .
