The Stockton Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

Stockton Township is located in northwest Illinois and is traversed by the Apple River in the west . The border with Iowa , which is formed by the Mississippi , is about 25 miles west. The Wisconsin border is about 20 to the north.

The Stockton Township borders within Jo Daviess County in the north on the Rush Township , in the northeast on the Nora Township , in the east on the Wards Grove Township , in the southeast on the Berreman Township , in the south on the Pleasant Valley Township , in the southwest on the Derinda Township , to the west to Woodbine Township and to the northwest to Thompson Township .
