Stress (musician)
Stress (born July 25, 1977 in Tallinn ; also Billy Bear , real name Andres Andrekson ) is a Swiss rapper from Lausanne . Stress currently lives in Zollikerberg .
Life
At the age of twelve Andrekson moved with his family from the Soviet Union to Switzerland and later became a Swiss citizen. He studied economics at the University of Lausanne and then worked in the marketing department of Procter & Gamble in Geneva . From 2008 to 2012 he was married to the actress and ex- Miss Switzerland Melanie Winiger . The musician is currently in a relationship with the Swiss model Ronja Furrer .
In November 2010 he founded his fashion label Bear Inc. at Metro Boutique . Between January 2013 and April 2014 he was a jury member and coach in the singing casting show The Voice of Switzerland .

Career
Stress was already known in France and Germany before it made its breakthrough in Switzerland. He was a member of the successful hip-hop group Double Pact for eleven years and during this time worked with big names in the scene such as Freundeskreis and Massive Töne . The band broke up in 2006, but the members continue to perform together.
In 2003, Stress' first solo album, Billy Bear, was released . With the single Tu me manques , recorded together with Xavier Naidoo , the rapper achieved his nationwide breakthrough. Two years later, on July 25, 2003, the sequel to Billy Bear hit stores. This was followed by the album Renaissance , which immediately reached platinum status.
In October 2007, Stress released a new single called On n'a qu'une terre ("We only have one earth"), in which he deals with the topics of global warming and resource scarcity. He produced the song and the clip as part of an advertising campaign for the Coop retail group .
At the first Swiss Music Awards in 2008, Stress received in the category "Best Song National" with On n'a qu'une terre , in the category "Best Album Urban National" with Renaissance and in the category "Best Video National" with Mais où an award.
In 2009, Stress was awarded the Fischhof Prize from the Foundation against Racism and Anti-Semitism (GRA). The jury justified its choice with the fact that Stress "with its commitment encourages young people to actively participate in the political and social shaping of our country." The Foundation against Racism and Anti-Semitism organized 2009/2010 in cooperation with the Federal Office for Combating Racism the video contest Lève-toi! Stand up against racism , from whose contributions a music video with stress was cut and accompanied by the song La peur de l'autre .

For stress, the music represents his feelings and his personal balance. He also depicts his own life in pieces of music. His songs often contain clear messages against any form of racism and political extremism . Stress deals with topics like drugs , feelings, desires, alcohol , prison , politics, and love.
In the song F * ck Blocher , he makes fun of former Federal Councilor Christoph Blocher and his party, the SVP , together with Greis and Bligg . In his opinion, the SVP finances its advertising campaigns with millions of well-known large Swiss companies and manipulates the voters with provocative advertisements.
07/25/03
Stress worked on his album 07/25/03 for a year and a half. At first he put his work in a company in the foreground, then he devoted himself completely to creating the texts and recording in the studio. The album 07/25/03 named Stress after the date he separated from his wife. They were only married for four months. The title and cover of the album refer to Stress' intention to design his work as a personal diary. He takes up topics such as the relationship with his father or the separation from his wife.
After the first edition reached gold status, it was decided to release the album in a new edition, which was called 07/25/03 Gold Edition .
After his separation from Melanie Winiger, the Noël's Room project came into being in the summer of 2012 , in which Stress processed the separation together with Karolyn, MAM, Bastian Baker and Noah Veraguth.
Acting and film music
Stress was a participant in the reality show The Match of the Swiss television . He also played various villain roles in the films Redemption , Verso and Breakout and contributed the theme music to several films.
