Ta 'Xbiex [ tɐ ˈʃbɪːʃ ] is a place in the northeast of the island of Malta . He has his own parish council.
description
There are a number of foreign embassies in this community, e. B. those of Egypt , Italy , France and the United Kingdom . In addition, settlements have developed there that have been designated by the government and in the 21st century insurance companies, IT service providers and shipping agencies have also settled. Part of the marina in the neighboring town of Msida is also part of the municipality.
The name Ta 'Xbiex is derived from the word tbexbix (dt .: sunrise), which indicates the geographic location of the place. Another theory connects it with the word xbiek (dt .: net), as the place used to be a fishing village. In 1969 Ta 'Xbiex became its own parish.
