Attractions
In 1679 a parish was formed, for which the baroque church Basilica of the Visitation was built between 1699 and 1729 . A little off the beaten track is the Ta 'Pinu Basilica , place of pilgrimage and Malta's outstanding shrine to the Virgin Mary. The legend of a young woman in 1883 has heard the voice of the Virgin here.
To the north of the village, on the coast, is the Wied il-Mielah Window , a naturally formed rock gate. To the northeast you can see the Giordan Lighthouse , which can also be reached via the steep gravel road on the coast.
