Tanja Hausott (* 9. July 1974 in Villach as Tanja Schett ) is a former Austrian football referee . She was the first Austrian to lead a game in the second highest Austrian league.
Career
By profession Tanja Hausott is a teacher at elementary school 2 in Villach in Carinthia . During the time in Salzburg , where she attended the Pedagogical Academy and the Mozarteum , she completed a referee course. Before that, she made the acquaintance of soccer in Villach as a place speaker .
After the first U-10 game she directed in Fuschl, she initially paused as a referee. In a TV report, she found her appearance too unsporting. She only became active again after she met her referee colleague Maria Trampusch in Carinthia and she awakened her ambition.
Tanja Hausott has been a referee since 1998 and a FIFA referee since 2003 . She was one of the twelve best referees in international women's football . The major games of international women's football that she directed include the UEFA Women's Cup in the second qualifying round, the games KFC Rapide Wezemaal - FC Everton (October 11, 2007) and Valur Reykjavík - KFC Rapide Wezemaal (October 13, 2007), as well the semi-final Olympique Lyon - Umeå IK damfotboll on March 30, 2008. Also in March 2008, she chaired the final of the Algarve Cup between Denmark and the United States , after she had previously denied the game between Germany and Finland .
On April 4, 2008, she was the first Austrian female referee to lead a championship game in the second-rate Austrian first division . In the 1-0 home win of FK Austria Wien Amateurs over FC Lustenau 07 , she gave a total of five yellow cards .
In June 2012 Tanja Schett married the referee Erik Hausott, who plays ice hockey .
Important assignments in her career: assignment in the Champions League semi-finals; U20 Women's World Cup in Chile up to the quarter-finals; three games at the U17 World Cup in Trinidad & Tobago; the game for 3rd place at the U19 European Championship in Finland. 60 international appearances and 40 appearances in the Austrian first division as well as 20 appearances as fourth official in the Bundesliga.
