history

The square village with a corridor of 1142 hectares is an agricultural rural community. The village was first mentioned in 1198 with the name Henricus Turowe . The official authority had been in Torgau since 1551 . In 1818 there were 288 residents in the village and 748 in 1964, who were parish in Beckwitz.
