action

The Tracy family is part of the International Rescue Organization and the Thunderbirds are their five modes of transport: a rocket , a rescue and transport shuttle , a submarine , a spaceship and a space station . If the distress call sounds “Thunderbirds - please come!”, It is up to Jeff Tracy and his sons to save the world from a catastrophe. When a meteor storm threatens the earth, Tracy and his sons immediately set off into space. But the 911 call was a trap of their archenemy The Hood , who wants to take control of the world and wipe out the Thunderbirds. When the situation seems hopeless, all hopes are on the youngest son Alan.

criticism

"Flattened real version of the doll series from the 1960s."

"Real-life version of a science fiction puppet animation television series that was successful in the 1960s and that is less about the 'iconic' aspect than about carefree adventure entertainment for children."

“Even if the characters are portrayed by real actors this time, it doesn't make them any more lively. On the contrary: if the TV series still had a lot of charm, it is now completely lost in this stupid action spectacle for small children. Even Ben Kingsley as a villain can't save anything. "

  • Director Jonathan Frakes' wife, Genie Francis , has a small role as Lisa Lowe .
